The 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V6 produces 600 HP and 652 Nm of torque, and with All-Wheel Drive putting that output to work through a six-speed dual-clutch transmission, the 2.9-second run to 100 km/h is a figure that only makes sense the first time you engage R-Mode and the launch control together. Underneath, NISMO-tuned Bilstein DampTronic adaptive suspension keeps the chassis honest at every speed, while the titanium exhaust system with sound control gives the car a voice that is purposeful without being antisocial, and the 20-inch RAYS forged alloy wheels are exactly the right finish for a car at this level. Inside, Recaro leather seats, an Alcantara steering wheel, carbon fibre trim accents, and an eight-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a Bose surround sound system make the cabin more considered than the car's reputation might lead you to expect. A GT-R at under 4,000 kilometres, fully equipped for both road and circuit, is not the kind of opportunity that sits around for long.
